Italian Film Festival: Three Perfect Daughters

The Italian Film Festival is back: Here our reviewer, Ros ,critiques one of the Festival’s offerings, Three Perfect Daughters.

Details of the Festival follow.

Three Perfect Daughters

A straight-laced lawyer, a volatile blue-collar worker and a policeman are brothers-in-law whose worst fears are realised when their perfect daughters get engaged (at the same time) to men they think are bad choices. The fathers join forces to get rid of them as quickly as possible. But this is not an easy task!

Arturo‘s (Merco Giallini) daughter Valentina dumps her fiancé at the altar and runs off with Alex, a free spirited young black woman. Sergio’s (Guiseppe Battiston) daughter falls for a womanising older man who went to school with her father, and Antonio’s (Vincenzo Salemme) is in love with a very attractive young blonde would-be rapper.

Directed by Rolando Ravalo (Perfect Strangers), this is an entertaining comedy with a good cast and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments which has plenty to say about father-daughter relationships. It was the winner of Comedy Europe Film Festival 2021 Jury Prise Best Feature Film.
