Warrior Two is one of my favorite all time yoga postures.

It always makes me feel stronger, and gives me that “I can I will” attitude. It looks deceptively simple, but there’s so much more to it.

So, unleash your inner fierce incarnation of Warrior Shiva to empower yourself and create courage.

Stand with feet together, hands on your hips. Step feet wide apart. Turn your right foot out. Left toes turn in. Align the heels with each other.

On the exhale, bend your knee so it is directly over the ankle joint. Your shin is perpendicular to the floor.

Powerfully extend your arms, palms down and look toward the right fingers. Eyes straight ahead.

Your tail bone moves down. Your right sit bone rolls under and your left hip peels back. Belly moves up and in. Shoulder blades draw in and down.

Keep your eyes relaxed. Focus and improve your concentration with “Drishti” meaning for Yogic Gaze. Breathe deeply and hold the pose for 30 seconds to a minute.
